Terms of service

1. Using Matrixcape

Matrixcape is for businesses. By creating an account you confirm you're at least 18 and can agree to these terms for your business. You're responsible for your account, for keeping your password safe, and for what people you invite do in your apps.

2. The beta

Matrixcape is in beta. Features may change, and some things listed as “coming soon” on our site aren't available yet. We work hard to keep it running and your data safe, but during the beta the service is provided as it is, without an uptime guarantee.

3. Your data is yours

You own the apps you describe and the records your team enters (“your content”). You give us permission to store, copy and process your content only as needed to run Matrixcape for you, including sending what you type to the builder to our AI provider.

We may learn from the de-identified structure of published apps (never their records, names or the labels you wrote) to improve Matrixcape, as described in the privacy policy. You can opt out at any time by emailing admin@matrixcape.com.

Self-serve export is coming soon. Until then, ask us and we'll send you a copy of your data.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Matrixcape to:

• break the law, or store content you don't have the right to use;
• store health records, payment card numbers, or government ID numbers (Social Security numbers and similar);
• send spam or messages people didn't ask for;
• try to get into accounts, apps or data that aren't yours, or test our security without permission;
• resell hosting, or use the service in a way that puts an unreasonable load on it.

We may pause an account that breaks these rules, and we'll tell you why.

5. AI-built apps

Matrixcape uses AI to turn your description into an app. Check your app with sample data before you publish it and rely on it: you decide what goes live. Every change is saved as a version you can roll back.

6. Plans and billing

• Free: build and preview one app with sample data. No card needed.
• Build: $299 a month, or $2,990 a year, billed in advance, with the allowances listed on Plans. Nothing is unlimited. When AI credits run out, your apps keep working and new AI changes pause until they renew.
• Pro: $599 a month, or $5,990 a year, billed in advance, with the higher allowances listed on Plans. You can switch between Build and Pro from Billing; the charge is adjusted for the rest of the period.
• Managed and Enterprise: governed by the written statement of work we agree with you.

You can cancel a monthly plan at any time; it ends at the end of the period you've paid for. Refunds follow our refund policy. If we change prices, we'll tell you before the change applies to you.

7. Who else is involved

We use a small number of service providers to run Matrixcape (hosting, the database, the AI model, email and payments). The privacy policy names each one and explains what it processes.

8. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Matrixcape and close your account at any time. We may end this agreement if you seriously break these terms. Either way, we'll give you a reasonable chance to get a copy of your data first, unless the law stops us.

9. Responsibility

To the extent the law allows, Matrixcape isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, and our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell account holders by email before the change takes effect.
