Privacy policy

Last updated October 13, 2026

Matrixcape LLC (“Matrixcape”, “we”) builds and hosts business software. This policy explains what we collect when you visit matrixcape.com or use Matrixcape, why, who processes it for us, and what you can ask us to do with it.

The short version

  • We collect what we need to run the site and the product, and to answer you.
  • We don't sell personal information, and we don't use advertising trackers.
  • The records your team puts into your apps are yours. We store and process them only to run your apps.
  • To make Matrixcape better, we may learn from the structure of published apps, never their contents, and you can opt out.

What we collect

When you browse the site

We count page views and a few steps in our sign-up funnel (for example, opening an example app or clicking a button). These events are stored by us with a random session number that lasts until you close the tab, the page, your device type, and the campaign tags or referring site you arrived from. We don't store your IP address with them. Our host, Vercel, processes IP addresses to serve pages and count visits.

Your browser keeps a note of how you first arrived (campaign tags, referring site, landing page) so that if you later join the beta or book a call, we know which post or video brought you.

When you join the beta

Your email address, your answer to “What process do you want to fix?” if you give one, how you first arrived, the example you were looking at, if any, and whose share link brought you, if anyone's. We send one confirmation email with your place in line and your own share link; a one-way hash of your IP address keeps people from moving themselves up with made-up signups. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

When you book a discovery call

Your name, email, company and the answers you give in the form, plus the meeting time you pick. We use them to prepare for and hold the call. They aren't added to a marketing list.

When you ask a question on the site

Your question and the answers are sent to our AI provider to produce a reply. They aren't tied to your name or email. We use a one-way hash of your IP address to limit how many questions can be asked.

When you use the builder or a Matrixcape app

  • Your account: email address and password (handled by our sign-in provider; we never see your password).
  • What you tell the builder, the apps it makes, their versions, and how much AI each change used.
  • The records you and your team enter into your apps, and their history. For these, your business decides what goes in and who sees it; we process them on your behalf to run the app.

Please don't put health records, payment card numbers or government ID numbers into Matrixcape apps. We aren't set up to protect that kind of data yet.

How we use it

  • To run the site, the builder and your apps, and keep them secure.
  • To reply to you, hold discovery calls, and let you into the beta.
  • To bill you for a paid plan.
  • To understand which pages, examples and posts lead people to sign up, in aggregate.
  • To improve Matrixcape, including the structure-only learning described next.

Learning from app structure (and how to opt out)

To help Matrixcape build better apps for everyone, we may study the structure of published apps: which kinds of pages, fields, roles and approval steps are used together, which changes people ask for, and which requests Matrixcape can't handle yet. Before anything is kept, names, labels you wrote and every record's contents are removed. A pattern is only reused after several different businesses have used the same structure and a person has checked it. Nothing your team typed into your app's records is ever used this way.

This is on by default for Free and Build accounts. You can opt out at any time by emailing admin@matrixcape.com; an in-app setting is coming. Managed and Enterprise projects are left out unless the statement of work says otherwise.

Service providers we use to run Matrixcape

  • Hosting: Vercel. Serves the website and the apps; processes requests, including IP addresses, to deliver pages and for page-view analytics.
  • Database and sign-in: Supabase. Stores accounts, apps, app records, the waitlist and inquiries; runs sign-in and password emails.
  • AI model: Anthropic. Receives what you type to the builder (and questions asked on this site) to turn them into an app or an answer. App records are not sent unless you include them in a message.
  • Email: Resend. Delivers our emails: the confirmation when you join the beta, and the note to our team when you request a discovery call (with the details you entered).
  • Payments: Stripe. Processes card payments and billing. We never see or store full card numbers.

Each one processes data only to provide its service to us. If we add or replace one, we'll update this list.

Cookies and storage

  • Sign-in cookies, only if you log in to the builder or an app. They keep you signed in.
  • Browser storage for how you first arrived, the random session number for our page counts, and your questions in the Ask panel during the visit.
  • No advertising cookies, and no third-party scripts other than Vercel's analytics.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the reasons above, or as the law requires, and delete it when you ask us to unless we must keep it.

Your choices

  • Ask for a copy of your information, or for it to be corrected or deleted: email admin@matrixcape.com.
  • Leave the beta list at any time by replying to any beta email or writing to us.
  • Opt out of structure-only learning (above).

We'll answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under local law, and we'll honor them.

Children

Matrixcape is for businesses and isn't meant for anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and, if you have an account, tell you by email.
